Das zweite Buch der Chronik

Kapitel 15

1 Und auf Asarja5838, den Sohn1121 Odeds5752, kam der Geist7307 Gottes430.

2 Der ging hinaus Assa entgegen und sprach559 zu8085 ihm: Höret mir6440 zu, Assa und ganz Juda3063 und Benjamin1144! Der HErr3068 ist mit euch, weil ihr mit ihm seid; und wenn ihr ihn suchet1875, wird er sich von3318 euch finden4672 lassen; werdet ihr aber ihn verlassen5800, so wird er euch auch verlassen5800.

3 Es werden aber viel7227 Tage3117 sein in Israel3478, daß kein3808 rechter571 GOtt430, kein Priester, der da lehret3384, und3548 kein Gesetz8451 sein wird.

4 Und wenn sie1245 sich6862 bekehren in ihrer Not zu dem HErrn3068, dem GOtt430 Israels3478, und werden ihn suchen, so wird er sich7725 finden4672 lassen.

5 Zu der Zeit6256 wird‘s nicht wohlgehen dem, der aus3318- und eingehet. Denn es werden große7227 Getümmel4103 sein935 über alle, die auf Erden776 wohnen3427.

6 Denn ein Volk1471 wird das1471 andere zerschmeißen und5892 eine Stadt5892 die andere; denn GOtt430 wird sie erschrecken2000 mit allerlei Angst6869.

7 Ihr aber seid3426 getrost2388 und tut eure Hände3027 nicht ab7503, denn euer Werk hat seinen Lohn6468.

8 Da3920 aber Assa hörete diese Worte1697 und die Weissagung5016 Odeds5752, des Propheten5030, ward er getrost2388 und tat5674 weg die Greuel8251 aus dem ganzen Lande776 Juda3063 und Benjamin1144 und aus den Städten5892, die er gewonnen hatte8085 auf6440 dem Gebirge2022 Ephraim669, und erneuerte2318 den Altar4196 des HErrn3068, der vor der Halle197 des HErrn3068 stund.

9 Und versammelte6908 das ganze Juda3063 und Benjamin1144 und die Fremdlinge1481 bei ihnen aus Ephraim669, Manasse4519 und Simeon8095. Denn es fielen5307 zu ihm aus Israel3478 die Menge7230, als sie sahen7200, daß der HErr3068, sein GOtt430, mit ihm war.

10 Und sie versammelten sich6908 gen Jerusalem3389 des dritten7992 Monden2320, im fünfzehnten Jahr8141 des Königreichs4438 Assa,

11 und2076 opferten desselben Tages3117 dem HErrn3068 von dem Raube, den sie505 gebracht935 hatten, siebenhundert7651 Ochsen1241 und siebentausend Schafe6629.

12 Und935 sie traten in den Bund1285, daß sie suchten1875 den HErrn3068, ihrer Väter1 GOtt430, von ganzem Herzen3824 und von ganzer See LE5315.

13 Und wer nicht4480 würde den HErrn3068, den GOtt430 Israels3478, suchen1875, sollte sterben4191, beide klein6996 und groß1419, beide Mann376 und Weib802.

14 Und sie schwuren7650 dem HErrn3068 mit lauter1419 Stimme6963, mit Tönen, mit Trommeten und Posaunen2689.

15 Und das ganze Juda3063 war fröhlich8055 über dem Eide7621; denn sie hatten geschworen7650 von ganzem Herzen3824 und sie suchten1245 ihn von ganzem Willen7522, und er ließ5117 sich von ihnen finden4672; und der HErr3068 gab ihnen Ruhe umher5439.

16 Auch setzte Assa, der König4428, ab Maecha, seine Mutter517, vom Amt, das3772 sie5493 gestiftet hatte6213 im Hain842 Miplezeth. Und8313 Assa rottete ihren Miplezeth aus und zerstieß1854 ihn und verbrannte ihn im Bach5158 Kidron6939.

17 Aber die Höhen1116 in Israel3478 wurden nicht5493 abgetan; doch war das Herz3824 Assas rechtschaffen8003 sein Leben lang3117.

18 Und er brachte935 ein, was sein Vater1 geheiliget und was er geheiliget hatte6944, ins Haus1004 Gottes430, Silber3701, Gold2091 und Gefäße3627.

19 Und es war kein Streit4421 bis in das fünfunddreißigste2568 Jahr8141 des Königreichs4438 Assas.

1 And the Spirit7307 of God430 came1961 upon5921 Azariah5838 the son1121 of Oded: 5752

2 And he went out3318 to meet6440 Asa,609 and said559 unto him, Hear8085 ye me, Asa,609 and all3605 Judah3063 and Benjamin;1144 The LORD3068 is with5973 you, while ye be1961 with5973 him; and if518 ye seek1875 him, he will be found4672 of you; but if518 ye forsake5800 him, he will forsake5800 you.

3 Now for a long season7227 3117 Israel3478 hath been without3808 the true571 God,430 and without3808 a teaching3384 priest,3548 and without3808 law.8451

4 But when they in their trouble6862 did turn7725 unto5921 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 and sought1245 him, he was found4672 of them.

5 And in those1992 times6256 there was no369 peace7965 to him that went out,3318 nor to him that came in,935 but3588 great7227 vexations4103 were upon5921 all3605 the inhabitants3427 of the countries.776

6 And nation1471 was destroyed3807 of nation,1471 and city5892 of city:5892 for3588 God430 did vex2000 them with all3605 adversity.6869

7 Be ye strong859 2388 therefore, and let not408 your hands3027 be weak:7503 for3588 your work6468 shall be3426 rewarded.7939

8 And when Asa609 heard8085 these428 words,1697 and the prophecy5016 of Oded5752 the prophet,5030 he took courage,2388 and put away5674 the abominable idols8251 out of all4480 3605 the land776 of Judah3063 and Benjamin,1144 and out of4480 the cities5892 which834 he had taken3920 from mount4480 2022 Ephraim,669 and renewed2318 853 the altar4196 of the LORD,3068 that834 was before6440 the porch197 of the LORD.3068

9 And he gathered6908 853 all3605 Judah3063 and Benjamin,1144 and the strangers1481 with5973 them out of Ephraim4480 669 and Manasseh,4519 and out of Simeon:4480 8095 for3588 they fell5307 to5921 him out of Israel4480 3478 in abundance,7230 when they saw7200 that3588 the LORD3068 his God430 was with5973 him.

10 So they gathered themselves together6908 at Jerusalem3389 in the third7992 month,2320 in the fifteenth2568 6240 year8141 of the reign4438 of Asa.609

11 And they offered2076 unto the LORD3068 the same1931 time,3117 of4480 the spoil7998 which they had brought,935 seven7651 hundred3967 oxen1241 and seven7651 thousand505 sheep.6629

12 And they entered935 into a covenant1285 to seek1875 853 the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers1 with all3605 their heart3824 and with all3605 their soul;5315

13 That whosoever3605 834 would not3808 seek1875 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 should be put to death,4191 whether4480 small6996 or5704 great,1419 whether man4480 376 or5704 woman.802

14 And they swore7650 unto the LORD3068 with a loud1419 voice,6963 and with shouting,8643 and with trumpets,2689 and with cornets.7782

15 And all3605 Judah3063 rejoiced8055 at5921 the oath:7621 for3588 they had sworn7650 with all3605 their heart,3824 and sought1245 him with their whole3605 desire;7522 and he was found4672 of them: and the LORD3068 gave them rest5117 round about.4480 5439

16 And also1571 concerning Maachah4601 the mother517 of Asa609 the king,4428 he removed5493 her from being queen,4480 1377 because834 she had made6213 an idol4656 in a grove:842 and Asa609 cut down3772 853 her idol,4656 and stamped1854 it, and burnt8313 it at the brook5158 Kidron.6939

17 But the high places1116 were not3808 taken away5493 out of Israel:4480 3478 nevertheless7535 the heart3824 of Asa609 was1961 perfect8003 all3605 his days.3117

18 And he brought into935 the house1004 of God430 853 the things that his father1 had dedicated,6944 and that he himself had dedicated,6944 silver,3701 and gold,2091 and vessels.3627

19 And there was1961 no3808 more war4421 unto5704 the five2568 and thirtieth7970 year8141 of the reign4438 of Asa.609
